Dr. Turk founded 4 Paws in 2005 with business partner Dr. Weisenstein. He attended Ross University, finished clinical rotations at Oklahoma State University, and graduated in 1991. He is happily married and has two adult children. He is a huge Star Wars and sports fan, even though his teams always lose! Any day with a UV index of eight or higher is a great day for him as he loves to sunbathe.

Dr. Weisenstein founded 4 Paws in 2005 with business partner Dr. Turk. He graduated from Kansas State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1999. In his free time, he volunteers at a rescue farm and enjoys watching sports, exercising, and spending time with his family and cats. He is also a huge Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm fan. Being a veterinarian is a lifelong dream of his that he gets to enjoy every day!

Dr. O’Malley graduated from University of Pennsylvania in 1996. She has four children and three dogs. She loves to travel all over the world. Her favorite trip was to a wildlife orphan rescue South Africa.

Dr. Orzel graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and attended University of Minnesota for clinical rotations. Fun fact: she was born in Poland!

Dr. Polonet attended University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate studies and graduated from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her husband and three children or lounging with a cat in her lap.

Dr. Serevetas grew up in Manalapan and attended Delaware Valley University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical rotations at Lincoln Memorial University. She has been a part of the 4 Paws family for over 10 years. Dr. Serevetas is USDA Accredited and is eligible to issue international health certificates for countries that require one! Outside the office, Dr. Serevetas enjoys spending time with her family, especially all her nieces and nephews, and her dogs and cats. She hopes to have her own rescue farm in the near future. She can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies!

Dr. Thoresen grew up in Colts Neck and attended the College of New Jersey, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Biology. She then went on to attend Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, while she simultaneously trained at Chi University in Ocala, Florida in Acupuncture and other elements of Chinese Medicine. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Tinton Falls. In her free time, she enjoys soccer, reading, CrossFit, crafting, and spending time with both her pets, friends, and husband.

SURGERY

Dean is currently a student pursuing a degree in Biology. He uses his passion for veterinarian medicine to assist in surgery here at the hospital. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and working out.

Donni attended Old Bridge High School and has been a veterinary technician at 4 Paws for many years. When he’s not working, he likes to garden and hang out with friends and cats.

Juliana studied Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Rutgers University and is excited to follow in the vets’ footsteps one day. She has wanted to become a vet ever since she was eight years old. She loves to hike and spend time with her pets- Mia, an Australian Cattle dog, and Maple, an American Staffordshire Terrier Mix. She also has a leopard gecko named Sparta.

Karen has been part of the 4 Paws family for over a decade. She has many cats and in her free time, she enjoys volunteering with a rescue organization.

Kathryn has been working at 4 Paws since mid-2025. She graduated from Rutgers University in 2024 with a Pre-Veterinary Medicine degree and hopes to attend vet school in the future. In her spare time, she likes to cuddle with her guinea pigs.

Lauren has been in the veterinary field for over 10 years. She lives in Colts Neck with her two children and two dogs. Rescuing dogs is very important to her.

Lexie previously worked in a veterinary emergency and ICU setting. Since joining the 4 Paws team, she has loved every minute of it. Her favorite part is playing and cuddling with patients during their appointments. She also enjoys spending time with her own pets: three cats and four dogs.

SURGERY

Michelle has been working at 4 Paws since April 2005. Her favorite thing about working here is the friendships she’s been lucky to form with co-workers and clients. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and hanging out with her family and three pets.

Samantha has been a veterinary technician at 4 Paws since November 2020. Her passion for animals started at a young age as she grew up with many pets ranging from geckos to guinea pigs to dogs and cats.

Sammy has two rescue dogs. Her favorite thing about working at 4 Paws is the staff and doctors that she works with. Everyone goes the extra mile and creates a great atmosphere to work in.
